Corsica

Welcome to Corsica, the island of beauty. You don't have to go to the other side of the world to holiday in an island paradise. We love Corsica's fine sandy beaches, hidden coves, turquoise waters, authentic villages, local gastronomy and all the treasures the island has to offer. All while still in France! So don't put it off any longer! Pack your swimsuit and sun cream and head to Corsica for a great family holiday!

Family holiday destinations in Corsica

In Corsica, there's no shortage of places to visit. Choosing a destination in Corsica with your family is not easy. But once you're there, there will be nothing to stop you venturing to all corners of the island. The west of the island is generally more lively and developed than the east, but has lost none of its old charm. Corsica is divided into two parts: Haute-Corse (Upper Corsica) and Corse du Sud (Southern Corsica).

Holidays in Haute-Corse, offering varied backdrops and authenticity

In Corsica's north, Haute-Corse is more than a match for its southern counterpart. Visit Bastia, the north's famous capital. Stroll through its alleys with their Genovese architecture, try some ice cream near the old port and learn a little about Corsican culture and the city's history. Then head to island's must-see locations, such as Nebbiu, the desert of Agriates, the island's many beaches, the medieval city of Calvi, Île-Rousse, and villages like Lumio and Sant'Antonino, both ranked among France's most beautiful.

Corse du Sud, a paradise of a thousand colours

One thing's for sure, once you arrive in the south of Corsica, you won't want to leave. Enjoy picture-perfect landscapes as far as the eye can see! Visit Ajaccio, the Gulf of Lava, the Bay of Cupabia, and don't forget to check out Porto-Vecchio, also known as the "City of Salt", due to its salt marshes. Its old town and its picturesque citadel are very charming. It is also Corsica's main seaside resort.

For a great family holiday in Corsica, book your stay at the Résidence Lisa Maria in Sari-Solenzara, one hour north of Porto-Vecchio.

Things to do on a family holiday in Corsica

Above all, use your holiday in Corsica as a chance to relax. You should not return home more tired than when you left. Corsica is the magic formula for recharging your batteries. Between late mornings, lounging by the sea and naps on the boat, once you have regained your energy, you can combine your stay with:

  • Hikes in the Corsican scrubland
  • Boat or canoeing trips
  • Scuba-diving in and among multicoloured fish
  • Excursions to iconic towns and cities

In the evening, meet with family or friends over some of Corsica's speciality dishes. Try Corsican charcuterie, figatellu, local cheeses or fiadone... each paired with a good local wine!
