Why choose a holiday home in Morbihan?
A place rich in timeless landscapes and between land and sea, come and discover Morbihan in Southern Brittany and treat yourself to an enchanting stay in a comfortable holiday home.
A holiday home to visit Morbihan and escape to the seaside
Morbihan is home to a series of rugged and gorgeous islands. Belle-Île-en-Mer, Groix island, the beautiful Arz island, each one as charming as the last. Arz island is accessible from Vannes by ferry. One of the 'Ponant islands', it is the ideal place for coastal walks, bird watching, sailing and fishing. The Gulf of Morbihan is one of the most beautiful bays in the world and is THE must-see spot in the region.
Go from Auray to Carnac, from Moines island (the pearl of the gulf) to Rhuys peninsula, and visit charming villages like Larmor-Baden. Here you can witness an astonishing and hypnotising sight: the meeting of land and sea. This combination creates an inland sea sheltered from the ocean and dotted with numerous islands (around 40).
Don't miss Vannes on your way. A certified "Town of Art and History", Vannes has a breathtakingly rich heritage with St. Peter’s Cathedral, timber-framed houses and its well-preserved ramparts.
Drop your bags off at Résidence Ker Goh Lenn*** in Plescop. These holiday homes near Vannes have a well-maintained vintage elegance with their grey slate roofs and white walls that blend seamlessly into the Morbihan landscape. Like all our residences, it’s the perfect comfortable setting for your holiday.
Head inland for an unforgettable stay in a holiday home in Morbihan
Inland Morbihan is often wrongly overlooked. After visiting the Gulf of Morbihan and its many islands, step onto dry land and explore places off the beaten track. Go for a walk in the wilderness of Camors forest and breathe in the sea air from afar. Now for a change of scenery, to a moon-like landscape. Guerlédan lake in the centre of Brittany, between Morbihan and Côtes-d'Armor, becomes a remarkable sight to see when it is completely emptied every 10 years. Even when the lake is full, you won’t be disappointed by the stunning natural trails you can walk (don’t worry, you won’t see the Loch Ness monster on the horizon here).
You should also check out typical Morbihan villages such as La Gacilly with its pretty stone houses and local handicrafts. Of course, don’t forget to visit Broceliande forest, one of the area’s most popular attractions and where Breton legends were born, most notably King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. You can also visit the medieval town of Josselin.
Take a break between outings in our residence Ar Peoc'h in Rochefort-en-Terre in the Questembert area. The French voted Rochefort-en-Terre as their favourite village in 2016. Be careful, once you’ve arrived, you may never want to leave!
