Doesn't "Ker Goh Lenn" sound like a magic incantation? Dive into the stories and legends of Brittany since ancient times and find the traces of ancestral traditions by walking through the village of Plescop. This small town of Morbihan exudes tranquillity and is adorned with charming typical Breton houses.
Only 15 minutes away, the city of Vannes is one of the largest agglomerations in the area. Its ramparts are part of the listed monuments and it hosts magnificent French gardens (but say "à la bretonne" (Breton style), you will be in the good graces of the locals). The Vannes aquarium will charm you with its many exotic species, sharks, crocodiles, but also seahorses and cuttlefish, both endangered species. A little further on, in the historic centre, St. Peter's Cathedral still bewitches travellers with the charm of its white Gothic facade.
To the north-east of Plescop, the village of Meucon forms a welcoming and traditional place, while the sanctuary of Sainte-Anne d'Auray, some fifteen kilometres away, attracts a crowd of pilgrims every year. Generally speaking, the whole region of southern Brittany is dotted by towns and villages with poetic names: Plougoumelen, Ploeren, Larmor-Baden or Ploemel...
Brittany, straight out of a fairytale!
Brittany lives through its legends, and fairies and Korrigans have many stories to tell. Take advantage of your holidays in Vannes to familiarise yourself with all these endearing tales: the forest of Broceliande, the Menhir de Kerloas, the village of the indomitable Gauls…
Residence Ker Goh Lenn***: your holiday accommodation by the sea
Would you like to discover the specialities of the region and taste the best cider in France? Your accommodation in Morbihan is just 20 minutes away from the Maison du Cidre, an establishment suitable for both adults and children, which informs you of the different stages of cider preparation.
On the coast of Vannes, the peninsula of Conleau will please everyone. You will be able to walk around it while paddling from one end to the other. If you want to have a nice relaxing time with your family, the Yakapark in Plescop is waiting for you with its slides and virtual reality activities. Finally, lovers of nature and beautiful landscapes will love the trails that criss-cross the Morbihan Regional Nature Park. It's up to you to enjoy the great outdoors straight out of the Outlander show and fishing in the Gulf. We hope you like sea bream with butter!
Here is a small address to test both for the situation (its terrace overlooks the water, facing the Gulf of Morbihan), but also for its fresh produce and its land and sea recipes inspired by the region. A bistro-brasserie where you can go whatever the time of day for your big and small hungers.
The Parc de Branféré is both an animal and botanical park, a leisure park and an environmental education center (Nicolas Hulot School). That's how you can tell if it's an ideal place with children! The park also has the particularity to sensitize its visitors to the environment and sustainable development.
Visit the historic center of Vannes with its half-timbered houses and flowered ramparts. Don't forget to pass by the marina to observe the old ships. And for the children, join the oceanographic aquarium and the peninsula of Conleau.
Try your hand at a giant maze... In a cornfield! You'll be looking for the way out in the middle of the corn cobs for around 1? hours, but you can enjoy the maze all afternoon! You can also play wooden games in the course or solve riddles.
Opt for an excursion Les Vedettes l'Angélus offer guided cruises, with the possibility of a stopover on Île au Moines, up the Rivière d'Auray or the islands of Houat / Hoëdic. Leaving from Port-Navalo in Arzon or Locmariaquer.
