Short mountain breaks
Visit the mountains for two or three days? Yes, it's possible!
Can't take a long holiday? No problem! You will come back fully relaxed after a few days in the mountains!
Short stays in the mountains are the perfect way to spend a short time in a territory with a wealth of in activities, in both summer and winter! We often think of skiing, but the mountains have many more things to offer, such as summer/winter sports, culture, gastronomy, wellness and nature exploration. You will become a convert to short breaks of discovery!

Whatever your budget, travelling alone, as a couple, with family: at Vacancéole, you can organise your own short stay to suit your preferences! You are sure to find a holiday rental in the mountains that will meet your needs.
Discover the Massif du Vercors by staying in a chalet or apartment at the Résidence Les Gentianes** in Gresse-en-Vercors.

Enjoy relaxation while the kids are kept busy? Some holiday rentals in the mountains have a kids club or children's activity programme: rest or have a blast in the calmness of your surroundings, and meet up with your children in the evening to hear stories about their exciting day!
Vacancéole is also a staunch supporter of the environment: some of our holiday rentals are labelled Green Key (Clef Verte) or LPO Refuge (league for the protection of birds), such as the Village des Oiseaux*** in Savoie.
Things to do on a short stay in the mountains
So many things! Visiting in summer? Some resorts offer paragliding, mountain biking, downhill scooter and summer sledding. There's also the chance to go on hikes and via-ferrata. You will be amazed by the mountain panoramas.
What about winter? There is skiing of course, but much more. Discover the mountains at a slower pace, far from the crowds by doing a bit of snowshoeing, ski touring (be careful if you are a beginner, ask for advice!), or dog sledding: all these are daytime activities. Don't overload your car boot: many residences offer special rates for ski equipment rental and lift passes. Simply add these options when you book on our website.
Summer or winter, there is so much to discover in the mountains. One thing's for sure: you will head off for another short stay in a region you've never been to before!
