Your ski vacation rental
Snow as far as the eye can see on your ski holidays!
Whether it's for new year celebrations, February mid-term break or a weekend in January, a few days in the mountains are always welcome. It's the perfect way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and take in the fresh mountain air. Between the Pyrenees, the Alps, the Massif Central and even the Vosges, France has no shortage of resorts for a great ski holiday.
What activities are there near to your ski rental?
In winter, the snow-covered peaks offer breathtaking landscapes. You'll love the illuminated villages, the snow-covered pine trees and the stalactites on the roofs of the chalets. Go on a ski holiday and enjoy everything the mountains have to offer.
We are all familiar with the classic winter sports like downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowboarding. However, consider heating off the beaten track to try some new activities:
- For the sporty among you: if you like mountain biking, you will love fat biking. It's a bike with very wide tyres to go on the snow. Want to warm up your muscles? Try ice climbing!
- For families: experience a moment of family fun with snakegliss and cling on to each other tight as you sled down the slope together. For a magical moment, try a dog sled ride through the pine forests. For a more traditional activity that's just as nice, you can go to the ever-present ice rink at the resort.
- Looking for more unusual activities? Each ski area has surprises in store. The brave ones will be able to try out ice diving (be careful: it's cold!). For a breathtaking view, book a paragliding flight. Lastly, go on a ride-along in a snow groomer; set off after the slopes close to discover what goes on behind the scenes as the sun sets.
And when you say ski, you also mean après-ski! There's nothing like taking off your boots and helmet after a good day on the slopes. Stroll through the resort's narrow streets for some window shopping and take refuge in a café to enjoy a hot chocolate or mulled wine. In the evening, take the family to a restaurant or get a Savoyard fondue straight from the cheese maker.
With Vacancéole, you are spoilt for choice: many residences offer the chance to take an all-inclusive ski package with accommodation, ski passes and equipment rental. This will allow you to benefit from special rates and make your arrival all the smoother.
