Holidays in Valras-Plage: there’s something for everyone!
Renting an apartment at the Residence Alizea Beach means scoring a try! Or even a conversion! As yes, Occitania is a land of rugby players and supporters: Beziers is around 10 kilometres from Valras, and Narbonne 30km away.
In Beziers, stroll along the Canal du Midi, by bike or on board a boat, or visit the Saint Nazaire cathedral. Sports fans and fans of good old-fashioned family fun alike will also enjoy the aerial adventure course and some paintball. In case of rain, take shelter at the Biterrois Museum: a journey through the ages awaits!
In Narbonne you’ll find the RCN, the Rugby union team Racing Club Narbonne, but that’s not all! You’ll also find:
- les halles, a covered market with original stone walls and pillars;
- the canal de la Robine;
- the palais des Archeveques;
- the Horreum Romain museum: an underground network of tunnels carved out of the stone;
- the Saint-Just-et-Saint-Pasteur Cathedral;
- Fontfroide Abbey.
South of Narbonne you’ll find the Narbonne Regional Nature Park, a protected area where you’ll take your most beautiful holiday photos, excitement guaranteed!
25km from Valras, you’ll love spending the day at Aqualand or AquaPark, the Agde water parks, or the Luna Park theme park. As for sea creature fans, they can visit the Cap d’Adge sea aquarium.
Some continue on to Sete, around 60 kilometres away, to pay tribute to Georges Brassens (there is a museum there dedicated to him). You can also visit the amazing Notre-Dame de La Salette chapel, the beautiful beacon of Saint Louis with its picturesque seaside cemetery.
Back in Valras, a long walk along the sands where you can get some sun on your face. In the morning, you can visit the Orpellieres nature reserve, do some go karting in the afternoon, and spend the evening at the casino: one hell of a day!
Sea, sun and vineyards!
Between Narbonne and Valras, take the longest way and head along the coast. You’ll then pass the magnificent Massif de la Clape, with its thousands of hectares of grape varieties. Make time for stopping off at the wine cellars: the wine tasting in the Pays d’Oc is unmissable! With moderation of course.
Residence Alizea Beach in Valras-plage: your seaside holiday accommodation
You can almost have your feet in the water in your ocean front holiday apartment in Valras-Plage! The highlight of the Alizea Beach residence is being so close to the beach! The golden sands are perfect for swimming and games in the water, but thrill seekers can also hire jet-skis for a jaunt out to sea they won’t forget in a hurry. Paddle boarding lessons, pick up some windsurfing, or hiring a catamaran are just some of the activities you can do in the water for an unforgettable holiday.
Being honest, Bousquet beach isn’t the only one in the region: after Narbonne, you can enjoy Gruissan Beach, as well as Mole beach in Agde, which is packed with water sports. The local water parks welcome visitors of all ages for fun and games.
If you prefer your feet on dry land, find yourself a set of wheels for discovering the surrounding areas: Segway, electric bikes, hoverboards, self-balancing scooters... Now’s your chance to try them all! Travel (to Languedoc-Roussillon) shapes youth, so, here we go!
Responsible tourism: respecting our coastline is essential!

This restaurant offers good Mediterranean cuisine with an ideal location on the beach. Its decoration, its welcome, its fresh products.
Leave for a day to discover Béziers and its surroundings: the Roman origins of the city with its arenas, its old town with its Saint-Nazaire cathedral (from where the view is magnificent!) and its old bridge dating back to the Middle Ages, its gardens, its Pierre-Paul Riquet alley lined with beautiful Haussmann-style facades and leading to its theater...
If your children are dinosaur fans, take them to the dinosaur park-museum (fee required) where they can discover, among other things, fossilized eggs and learn about paleontology.
A 20-minute drive will take you to Béziers, where you can choose from a wide range of cruises on the famous Canal du Midi: day cruises, moonlight cruises, cruises with a meal... The choice is yours!
Kolandia Park is located at Vendres Plage, a 10-minute drive from Valras Plage. It's one of the biggest inflatable playgrounds in the whole of the Occitanie region! Kolandia Park has a children's area for the under-7s, a 63-metre-long slide and a 10-element course that can be completed in either walking or sports mode!
