Residence Le Crystal: your perfect Cagnes-sur-Mer accommodation
Head south for a brilliant and relaxing stay in our Cagnes-sur-Mer holiday apartments. 1400m from the beach and just a few kilometres from Monaco, your itinerary is crystal clear: sun and sea, relaxing in your sunhat, your feet up on the sand, before tucking into some fougasse or hitting up the casino. All this in a luxury residence, centred around a typical Provence garden!
Holiday apartments in Cagnes-sur-Mer, it’s Crystal clear!
No need for a Crystal ball - your stay in Cagnes-sur-Mer will be one for the books. Our air-conditioned studios and two- or three-bedroom apartments range from 27 to 45m². Take a break from driving and leave your car in our free underground carpark. The only thing you’ve got to worry about is hanging up the swimsuits and flipflops in time for your aperitif.
In your Cagnes-sur-Mer holiday apartment you’ll find:
- a fully equipped kitchenette with a dishwasher;
- a comfy fold out sofa bed in the living room with TV, one set of bedding for studios and additional sets for apartments;
- a bathroom for washing the last few grains of sand from between your toes;
- a 7m² patio or balcony with patio furniture for lounging;
- tons of optional services are available (see tariffs below): from sheets and towels to end-of-stay cleaning (except kitchen area) and laundry, as well as equipment to rent for babies and young children and rates for bringing your four-legged friend along.
Ideas for a holiday programme in Cagnes-sur-Mer
- After a coffee on your private terrace, reading the news on the free Wi-Fi, take on the first challenge of the day: spreading sun cream on the whole family.
- Take the whole family to the outdoor swimming pool on the roof of the residence, and admire the view of Haut-de-Cagnes and its medieval town! Let the youngsters have a wild game of table tennis in this rooftop area.
- Want to go to the beach? Walk to Plage Mogador and Plage du Grand Large (about 20 minutes), or take advantage of the free shuttles in summer to get to the sand faster! Treat yourself to an ice cream or cocktail in one of the beach bars-restaurants.
- You can choose between a dip in the Mediterranean or a walk in the hills: visit Haut-de-Cagnes, its medieval castle transformed into the Grimaldi museum and the Renoir museum;
- Finish the day with a bouillabaisse, a Provençal daube or a fish dish, in the restaurant or to take away!
- Did you know that you can play a game of pétanque in the steep streets of Cagnes? No, your pétanque balls won't land in the sea, thanks to Boules Carrées! It's the town's own invention, and you'll want to try it out with your friends! There are even world championships in square boules. Yes, yes, we're not joking!
Provence is truly dazzling around your Cagnes-sur-Mer accommodation
Even if Cagnes-sur-Mer is the perfect dream holiday village, hot and sandy, it’s not only a Mediterranean beach. Yes, you can spend the entirety of your holidays on the beach or lying by the pool. But if you like variety, pack your sunhat and trainers, ready for climbing the backstreets of the medieval village, strolling alongside the fishing port or past the doors of the racecourse.
As your Cagnes-sur-Mer accommodation is just a few dozen miles from Nice, why not take the opportunity to go for a wander down the Promenade des Anglais? Slip on your celebrity shades and set off to conquer the Riviera along the panoramic route. Just a few more kilometres and you’ll reach the coast of Monaco for a selfie in front of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco.
Here, you’ll need to make a choice: keep going up to Monte-Carlo and its casino, continue to Menton and its very own Hawaii beach (really, that’s what it’s called!), or even cross the Italian border for pasta that’s wickedly good. Before heading home to catch your breath on your patio, with your feet up and a clear head. Crystal clear, some might say.
Call me Renoir, Auguste Renoir.
This impressionist painter is a legend in Cagnes-sur-Mer, he’s hard to miss! All the better, as it’s a detour worth taking: August Renoir spent the last ten years of his life in a home workshop, now converted in to an official museum. You can also discover his entire family of artists, a reconstruction of his studio and his gardens.
Residence Le Crystal in Cagnes-sur-Mer: your seaside holiday accommodation
You’re dying to go snorkelling? Bring your swimsuits and masks; in Cagnes-sur-Mer, swimming and lounging are two competitive sports that respect one another. Between the port and the racecourse, 5 pebbled or sandy beaches await for a dip in the Mediterranean. That’s not all, by the way, as being beside the sea means one thing, water sports: diving, sailing or floating, breast stroke or front crawl, a calm dip or extreme sports, give in to the call of the wild (waters!), without venturing too far from your holiday apartment.
Once you’ve dried off, it’s time to explore the little shops for some holiday souvenirs, try out the local restaurants for a taste of the generous Provence cuisine... Or even, in high season, go watch horse races like the stars do on holiday (but without the paparazzi)!
Just round the corner, you’ll be blown away by the sights at the Gorges du Loup. Take things one step further and try some canyoning or climbing at the adventure park. Unless you’d prefer a trip to the Renoir museum and the Grimaldi castle museum, no less brilliant, before hitting up the slot machines at the casino!
Choose responsible travel, so the crystal-clear water stays that way
In choosing Le Crystal as your Cagnes-sur-Mer holiday residence, you’re also choosing sustainable tourism. From the living room light bulbs to the shower head, all our fittings have been designed for minimum energy consumption and maximum enjoyment.
Your final mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to sort your waste in to the specialised containers, to take a deep breath and enjoy the scents of the fruit grove below the balconies, and leave the beach exactly as you found it for the next guests. As yes, you’ll have to leave one day or another! But don’t panic, you can come back for your next responsible holiday.
Here everything is fresh! The fish and seafood come from the port of Cros, near the fishermen of Cagnes-sur-Mer, directly after their return from sea. A nice menu proposes wild fish, oysters, shrimps, fish tapas... but also risottos and some meat dishes.
In the Haut-de-Cagnes, the castle built at the beginning of the 14th century dominates the landscape. Push open the doors of this fortified castle redesigned as a seigneurial residence by the ancestors of Prince Albert II of Monaco and discover the Olive Tree Museum as well as the portraits of the Cabaret singer and actress Suzy Solidor.
Le Bois des Lutins invites your children (and maybe you too?) to visit the elves' tree houses by going from monkey bridges to giant slides, climbing trees and crawling through the underground troll village ... Another atmosphere just as playful but completely crazy, that of the Village des Fous (Crazy Village) designed by scientists... crazy! Sensational games, water games, intelligence games...
With more than 11 km of cycle paths in Cagnes-sur-Mer and a route along the seafront, discover the magnificent scenery and enjoy a bike ride.
Cagnes-sur-Mer offers a wide range of facilities for youngsters, including a skate park, climbing wall, fitness trail and micro-stadiums.
